Its use is transparent for the user,  it includes a very fast current controller that enables to work with even the most sophisticated MPP tracking algoritms.

TopCon modular Grid-tie Source/Sink (TC.GSS) is an integrated bidirectional AC/DC programmable power supply. It allows to provide and feedback energy between the grid and a load. TopCon TC.ACS - Full 4-quadrant grid simulator

 

The increasing number of alternative power sources like solar, wind driven or biological energy systems call for consistent and well demanding regulations for energy feed into the utility grid. Manufacturers of such systems have to test and to prove the compliance of their equipment. Grid simulators form an electronic equivalent circuit for the grid, but allow to vary all relevant parameters in order to test the behaviour and response of the equipment under test. Between possible tests, TC.ACS grid simulators can perform EMC tests as per CENELEC IEC 61000-4-14 (Testing and measurements techniques - Voltage fluctuation immunity test), IEC 61000-4-27 (Testing and measurements techniques - Unbalance, immunity test) and  IEC 61000-4-28 (Testing and measurements techniques - Variation of power frequency, immunity test).
